J-Live first appeared on the underground hip-hop scene in 1995, The attention he got from this record "Braggin' Writes" got him printed in the "Unsigned Hype" section of The Source. This record was playing all over college radio's and underground radio back in the day.

Nine Livez generated hits "Whutcha Want?" and "Any Emcee" The album is considered to be a classic underground hip-hop album.
