AZ ft Raekwon - Do or Die (remix)

The remix to AZ's 1995 debut "Doe or Die," AZ enlisted Raekwon to represent with him. This was a mixtape classic. AZ is definitely one of the most underrated MC's

I first heard this record on one of DJ Clue's mixtape back in 1998. I can't recall which one but anyway off the strength of this song I bought the album "Pieces of a Man" which was releashed later that year. The album was highly praised for its complex and insightful lyricism.

Mos Def - Brooklyn (Original Version)

This is the original version of Mos Def's song "Brooklyn." The album version is found on his debut "Black on Both Sides." On the original version, Mos Def is rhyming over "Incarcerated Scarfaces" by Raekwon as well as "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)" by Mobb Deep, and "Who Shot Ya?" by The Late Great Notorious B.I.G. This is definitely a rare song. Download link: Brookyln (Original Version)
