Bahamadia - Da Jawn Ft. Black Thought and Malik from The Roots

A philadelphia-born hip hop artist who was a member of Gang Starr Foundation, Bahamadia released her critically acclaimed debut album entitled "Kollage" in 1996. A respected lyricist in hip hop, she is known for her silky, subdued monotone delivery, she has crazy word-play on top that. "Da Jawn" is one of those rare classics featuring Black Thought and Malik from The Roots.

This is where it all started with Bahamadia around 1993/1994 with this single "Total Wreck" produced by the late Guru of Gang Starr. This track is a head banger.

Lords Of The Underground - Funky Child

One of my favorite groups back in the 90's Lords of the Underground always brought that funky head nodding vibe to their music. Hailing from New Jersey, this 3 man group have a hand full of classic tracks under their belts. When I heard "Shot Caller" from French Montana the first thing I thought of was Lords of the Underground "Funky Child."  What can I say I am trapped in the 90's.
